2024: Product Announcement
On August 1, 2024, an innovative Makhaon traction table was presented in Russia, designed to treat spinal diseases. The development of this medical device was carried out by specialists of the Novosibirsk State Technical University NETI within the framework of the Priority 2030 program of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia.
According to the press service of the university, the new equipment uses the technology of smooth stretching and rotation of the limbs to eliminate pain and restore the functionality of the vertebrae and joints. "Mahaon" can be used both for the prevention of spinal injuries and for rehabilitation after them.
Aleksey Tsygulin, Associate Professor of the Department of Design of Technological Machines and the Department of Theoretical and Applied Informatics of NSTU NETI, who led the development, noted that the traction table is designed for gentle stretching of the spine. "Mahaon" solves the compression problem by gently and gradually stretching the spine behind the limbs and torso, allowing the muscles to relax and enlarge the intervertebral space, eliminating pain.
The advantage of "Mahaon" is its ability to flexibly adjust and individually approach each patient. Device makes it possible to adjust force and direction of load on four independent sections of limb extension, which provides selection of optimal parameters for specific tasks of user. In addition, the table ensures the rotation of the limbs around its axis, expanding its functionality.
In 2023, the development team significantly improved the technical component of the device. A complete redesign of the internal table design allowed the Mahaon to be produced entirely on domestic materials. It developed its own control board, which is now produced independently, and also uses domestic power supplies, more affordable and technological.
To control the traction table, a web application has been developed that is available in a browser on any device and operating system. This allows you to combine all traction tables into a single network and control them remotely. [1]
