On November 18, 2022, Marvell Distribution announced the upcoming launch of a new production site in the Moscow Region, which will manufacture servers, DSS and network equipment. The company plans to produce 250 thousand devices annually. The volume of investments has not been disclosed.

According to Kommersant, the project is being implemented by F + tech (F-Plus Equipment and Development LLC, the head structure of the Marvell Distribution group). They said that the site will have modern assembly lines and an A-brand quality control system. For the release of consumer electronics under the F + tech brand, external contractors will be more involved, the company added.

On March 29, 2021, Marvel Distribution announced the launch of a cluster in St. Petersburg for the production of servers, storage systems (DSS) and network equipment. The devices will be produced under their own F + brand.

Some devices can be obtained in the required volume and in the configuration required by the customer in a few days, since the raw materials and components are already in Marvel Distribution warehouses, and as the project develops, the number of finished items will increase, the company noted. The capacity by the end of March 2021 allows the production of 5 thousand servers and DSS systems per year.

Alexey Melnikov, CEO of Marvel Distribution, called this project unique. An unaffiliated trademark was created, which will be promoted using the classic distribution channel, he explained.

Unlike all other local brands of IT equipment that exist on the market today, which are both production and trading companies, direct sale of F + Tech equipment to the end customer is not expected, which means that we, as a vendor, will not compete with our partners, he added.

According to him, over the next two to three years, over 20% of trading categories will begin to localize in the Marvell distribution portfolio, while the company expects that this will not be a replacement for the existing, but an additional business caused by an increase in demand for customized products.^[2]
