On June 10, 2010 Parametric Technology Corp company. announced a release of the new version of the solution for carrying out engineering calculations of Mathcad ®15.0. In Mathcad® additional features for the solution of the major engineering tasks and the simplified documentation of calculation results in product development process are added.

Mathcad® 15.0 includes 25 functional updates, the improved settlement libraries and expanded integration into solutions of third-party producers, for example with the latest version of Microsoft Excel. Mathcad® 15.0 supports work of automated design engineering systems, for example, of Pro/ENGINEER® and also the software solution for data management from RTS corporation — Windchill® for the large companies and the same solution for the sector of medium and small business — Windchill ProductPoint®. That allows users to manage better crucial engineering data, simplifies a possibility of interaction of development team and to reuse information on a product.

New version Mathcad® 15.0 is:

• Functions for calculations for planning of experiments (design of experiments (DoE)) — 25 new features helping to reduce time spent for natural experiments due to understanding of the general trend at tests are added. The DoE applications help to find critical factors and optimal conditions at tests of difficult processes. Templates for carrying out several experiments, in the presence of several levels of an experiment (the testing modes) and different conditions contain.

• Profound integration into the KnovelMath database — quick access to base according to engineering and technical standards reduces time of carrying out difficult calculations.

• Integration into the software of Kornucopia released by Bodie Technology company, intended for the reduction of time and efforts spent for carrying out the analysis. Providing templates for calculations in the Mathcad® program, this module allows to use the acquired processes for comprehensive assessment of the yielded natural experiments and calculation results.

• The first integration into the Truenumbers — Truenumbers database from True Engineering Technology provides to developers access to different reference materials and data. Results from the Mathcad® program are just transmitted to the different document formats that considerably facilitates data transmission on a key chain of employees.

• Support of the Microsoft Windows 7 operating system.

• Support of Microsoft Excel 2007.
