2023: Product Announcement
On August 15, 2023, Viseon announced the world's first miniature imaging system for minimally invasive spinal surgery. The device is called MaxView 4K.
The developer claims that the presented solution is the first of its kind improved 4K format system, which does not require large costs for equipment and does not take up space in the operating room. The platform consists of a disposable sterile camera that transmits 4K images and a reusable non-sterile control unit. During surgical procedures, the entire team can observe what is happening through the monitor in the operating room.
The MaxView 4K system allows you to record video and capture static images. Thus, doctors can form their own database of unique digital content for training, presentations, publications, reviews or further data analysis using machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms. The accumulated information will help improve the planning of surgical procedures and optimize the program of treatment and rehabilitation of patients.
The MaxView 4K platform is compatible with all major side-access retractors on the market and independent of implants. This provides flexibility of use. 4K resolution support provides a clear and detailed understanding of the patient's anatomy, which is important for safe and effective surgery. In general, the novelty allows operations where large and expensive capital equipment is economically or practically inaccessible.
MaxView 4K is a game changer, a significant improvement over the previous HD system. I was able to perform a complex procedure in an ergonomically neutral position with an excellent 4K video image, "said Dr. Rajiv Sethi of Virginia Mason Medical Center.[1] |
