2022: Announcement of medical cabinet for production of radiopharmaceuticals
N.N. Blokhin National Medical Research Center of Oncology of the Ministry of Health of Russia together with the Russian company Medkar created a Russian analogue of the module ("medical cabinet") for the production of radiopharmaceuticals (used for radionuclide diagnostics and treatment of various diseases using nuclear medicine methods). This was reported in the press service of the National Medical Research Center in November 2022.
According to the developers, the Russian analogue surpasses the German and Italian modules in all key parameters:
- The production module runs on domestic software.
- Multiple names of radiopharmaceuticals can be produced on a single module.
- Russian development is easier and more convenient to operate.
Director of the Research Institute of Clinical and Experimental Radiology, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Boris Ivanovich Dolgushin noted that the implementation of the project took into account the shortcomings and miscalculations that exist in foreign machines.
And they set out to simplify the process, get away from cassettes and replace all foreign consumables with domestic ones. Using our version of the device, it is possible to save about €50,000 per year, which can be spent on the purchase of medicines and other consumables necessary to provide high-quality oncological care. The cycle of operation of the device is 10 years, as a result we save €5 million per year. In addition to the "medical cabinet" itself, we have created our own program to work with it. We have been working for about a year, the device has proven itself from the good side! In addition, we have secured ourselves from the unreliability of foreign supplies, he said. |
According to him, in the created device, almost all radiopharmaceuticals should be produced, you just need to give a task to the manufacturer - and he forms the necessary parameters for the creation of cyclotron, generator, and other types of radiopharmaceuticals. The complex produces drugs for diagnostics. Another advantage of Russian development is that foreign cars go of specific sizes, so it was necessary to break the walls in order to bring them in, and the domestic apparatus can be mounted on the spot, Dolgushin emphasized.[1]
