Merck (Darmstadt, Germany), the scientific and technology company provided the cloud platform of resource management and the BrightLab tools for scientists-researchers. It includes an electronic laboratory notebook which allows scientists and heads of laboratories to trace and update data of researches from any computer or the mobile device. It became known on February 18, 2020.

In the modern research environment analog methods of documentation and the analysis often distract us from researches. Considering the growing demand for automation of data, BrightLab from Merck integrates laboratory tools in cloud via the program interface of the application (API) and integration technologies "Internet things (IoT)", excepting need to interpret data manually. It reduces need of checks and allows to give more time to researches. The platform also automates workflows and creates a safe report archive with a search capability. All information in a cloud is available only to authorized users as the platform is developed taking into account enciphering SSL and provides integrity of data thanks to the built-in magazines of audit and regular to backup.

The BrightLab platform from Merck considers the fact that each laboratory locates the instrumental base therefore it is connected to the growing library of the supported devices. After installation scientists can execute data retrieval on projects and researches. Reminders on service of the laboratory equipment, calibrations and protocols are stored in one place that helps to organize and accelerate process of accomplishment of researches effectively.
