2020: Presentation of Metal BaaS service for Kubernetes

On November 18, 2020, Commvault, an enterprise-class data management software company in cloud and local environments, announced the availability of Metal BaaS for Kubernetes.

Kubernetes-based containers enable IT business units to flexibly deploy, scale, and migrate workloads without disrupting end-users. This Metal platform, which implements the backup Backup-as-a Service (BaaS) model, simplifies container protection with a complete integration K8 (Kubernetes) through the Container Storage Interface (CSI).

Commvault directed its resources to the development of containers and Kubernetes. The company has integrated its Hedvig Distributed Storage Platform with Kubernetes, and now offers Kubernetes data protection based on the Metal cloud model.
