2020: The announcement of Azure Spring Cloud - a cloud for rapid development of the corporate software
On September 2, 2020 the Microsoft corporation announced general availability of Azure Spring Cloud, the managed service intended for reduction of volume of the work connected with creation and support of corporate applications on its cloud platform.
Azure Spring Cloud is result of cooperation with VMware company, for the first time the solution was announced in 2019. The service is founded on a popular application development platform of Spring open source.
The framework of Spring which is used by such companies as Netflix allows the enterprises to create quicker applications, providing them ready program blocks which they can use in the projects. The cloud service Microsoft uses the special version of the platform under the name Spring Boot which in fact is the simplified version with previously configured settings which the companies do not need to configure independently.
Azure Spring Cloud represents special importance as process of creation of new solutions considerably becomes simpler due to control automation by infrastructure for developers. The service functions on the managed Azure basis therefore the companies do not need to worry about hardware maintenance at which their applications work.
Microsoft also added several additional functions for automation of the connected administrative tasks. There is an instrument of autoscaling which optimizes use of infrastructure of applications, functions of network security and integration with Azure Monitor. Administrators can use these opportunities for search of potential problems in the environments. For the solution of complex problems with which the company can will cope independently, Azure Spring Cloud also provides technical support of Microsoft and VMware.[1]
