2019: Representation of a programming language
On January 25, 2019 the Microsoft company provided Code Jumper, the physical programming language created for training in basic skills of development of programs of unseeing and visually impaired children.
According to the statement of the developer, Code Jumper represents a set of block modules of different forms and wires, connecting which in different combinations, children can create the programs capable to tell stories, to write music and even to think out jokes. Blocks are painted contrast bright colors that children with weak sight could distinguish them, and special material of which they are made will help to distinguish blocks by feel.
As reported in Microsoft, the company intends to transfer technologies on which Code Jumper, in American Printing House for the Blind (APH) non-profit organization which specializes in products and services for unseeing and people with weak sight is based. Within the next five years of ARN is going to offer Code Jumper and the accompanying training programs to pupils around the world, doing focus on audience of 7-11 years.
Using Code Jumper APH will acquaint not just children with programming essentials, but also to give them necessary skills for development of further career in the IT industry. At the first stage the physical programming language will be implemented in the USA, Great Britain, Canada, India and Australia, and then is widespread worldwide, noted in Microsoft.
