The Microsoft corporation tried to make the ERP system by Dymanics NAV R2 even more available to clients of SMB: now they can purchase one of two editions Dymanics NAV 2009 R2 (basic or expanded) on special – the reduced prices.

The basic packet is intended for management of finance and trade, and its expanded version provides functionality for production management. The recommended retail price of solutions is 25 thousand and 45 thousand rubles for the user license respectively. Microsoft emphasizes that it is about the recommended price which the partners of corporation promoting solutions for business can change at own discretion according to the market situation. At the same time the number of user licenses which are covered by the aforesaid cost is brought to 30 and the biennial subscription to updates was a part of the new price (it was required to pay 1980 and 3432 euros for similar option respectively earlier). Reduction of price – the single action calculated on eight months (a deadline on June 26, 2012).

It is not the first initiative of Microsoft of reduction of price of ERP for medium and small business. Let's remind that from December, 2010 till end of June, 2011 reduction of prices was already announced: 21 thousand rubles for basic and 41 thousand rubles for an expanded packet. However, this amount covered only 20 user licenses that, according to representatives of Microsoft not quite corresponds to scales and requirements of the Russian medium and small business though the action and was very successful. "Results which we received according to the results of the special price program provided last financial year exceeded our expectations, – Vladimir Vodianov, the director of Microsoft Business Solutions in Russia noted. – We saw not only significant growth of interest in business applications from customers, but also increased the number of transactions five times".

Vladimir Vodianov told that the new price offer is an element of long-term strategy for promotion of business applications of Microsoft in the Russian SMB-segment. Increase in investments into localization of the international business applications and opening in 2008 in the Russia's first development center which adapts systems according to requirements of the Russian legislation became the first step in this direction. The release in 2009 of the set-up solution NAV Express completely ready to execution of operations in the field of management of finance and a warehouse, account policy for accounting, tax and personnel records became the second step. It allowed customers to reduce considerably implementation time, to save the budget, and to partners – to perform more projects, without attracting at the same time additional resources. According to Vladimir Vodianov, new price conditions meet expectations and financial opportunities of an absolute majority of the Russian companies of the average and small size.

Nesterov Roman, the manager of projects of IT division of IKEA bidding company (the Russian representative office of IKEA corporation) told about one of implementations of NAV Express. The company received the preconfigured configuration and a DB of NAV Express that allowed to perform literally in one and a half months the full stroke of works on implementation which covered 30 user jobs. The corporate chart of accounts was as a result automated, integration with a corporate accounting system is performed, work of finance division is automated, control over the movement of the document on all lifecycles is set, unloading of data for the corporate reporting is implemented.
