2015: Announcement of the flagman Microsoft Lumia 950 and 950 XL smartphones

On October 6, 2015 the American corporation Microsoft provided pair of the flagman Lumia 950 and 950 XL smartphones. Devices have similar hardware, and differ in the processor, the size of the screen and capacity of the removable accumulator.

The Microsoft Lumia 950 model is completed with the 5.2-inch display, the six-nuclear Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor and the battery on 3000 mAh.

Leaders of Lumia 950 and 950 XL work at Windows 10 Mobile OS

Larger Microsoft Lumia 950 XL received the 5.7-inch screen, the single-crystal Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 system with eight computing cores and a battery with a capacity of 3300 mAh.

Both gadgets are equipped with OLED panels with the resolution of 2560 x 1440 points, 3 Gbytes of operational and 32 Gbytes of a fixed memory with a possibility of expansion of the last by means of the replaceable drives microSD with a capacity up to 2 Tbyte. The list of the supported wireless communications includes 4G of LTE, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi of 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. There is an USB connector Type-C.

Lumia 950 and 950 XL support technology of fast accumulator charging

The main camera in smartphones is constructed on the 20-megapixel PureView sensor which is complemented with Zeiss optics, optical stabilization of the image of fifth generation, threefold LED flash and a recording capability of video in format 4K. The frontal photomodule intended for a selfie and video calls is created by 5-megapixel.

New products support technology of fast charging which allows to fill the accumulator with energy half in only 30 minutes. As a program basis the Windows 10 Mobile operating system is used new. Besides, leaders can brag of the Continuum function allowing to connect the smartphone to the monitor or the TV and to see the OS desktop interface.

Microsoft Lumia 950 and 950 XL will be cost  by $549 and $649 respectively, they will go on sale in November, 2015.
