Microsoft NetMeeting

NetMeeting is the program for a video conferencing, allows to organize audio-and video contacts (in the presence of the video camera) between two and more conferees. Despite the success and convenience of using of Microsoft in 2001 announced this project completed. Now it is excluded from modern versions of Windows, starting with Windows Vista. As replacement of Microsoft recommends Microsoft Office Live Meeting, to Windows Live Messenger, the Removed assistant, Connection to a remote desktop and Windows Meeting Space. However, the last was also excluded from structure of Windows, starting with Windows 7. For compatibility of NetMeeting it was included in an install packet of the Windows systems, but often did not point any label of programs to it. Nevertheless it was possible to start it independently - [X]: \Program Files\NetMeeting\Conf.exe, where [X] - a disk on which the Windows system is located. For Windows Vista there was a special version - 3.02, directed to that the companies depending on NetMeeting could pass to other products. In Windows 7 start of NetMeeting is possible, but the program works with errors and is very unstable.

She had following features:

1. Transfer of files. During the conference you can exchange files with users.
2. Joint work over the document. One of the most distinctive features of NetMeeting — gives an opportunity of application sharing. For example, you can permit to work to the removed interlocutor with your office programs, and, at the remote user these programs can be not installed.
3. Communication in a chat. Possibility of exchange with the interlocutor of text messages.
4. White board (whiteboard). A possibility of exchange with the interlocutor of the graphic information in an interactive mode. In this case at each participant the additional window with all necessary functions opens. All your actions (drawing, an insert of the photo, diagrams, etc.) are right there displayed at the partner.
5. Access to a desktop of any of conferees (Terminal client).
6. Access to any of opened the application of any of the conferee.

However for the Russian users in an access mode to a desktop or to far off to the started application the problem with compatibility of the Cyrillic fonts is often observed that results in impossibility of reading information.
