2020: At the heart of a settlement core "the Monolith: EPM"
In January, 2020 Monolit-Info provided a multifunction product – "The Monolith: EPM", designed to increase efficiency of activity of the enterprise, to optimize business management methods. "Monolith: EPM" received a settlement core based on MS SQL2019 which allows to process very large volumes of information. The developer reported about it on March 11, 2020. Read more here.
2019: Announcement
At the beginning of November, 2019 Microsoft released a relational database management system of SQL Server of 2019 in a public access. The corresponding announcement was made within the Ignite 2019 conference in Orlando (the State of Florida, the USA).
Support of a fixed memory (RMEM)
PMEM is a fast memory for data storage after power off. It allows to process these in-memory, saving from need to transfer data on transmission channels and accelerating request processing for 30% for intensive workloads of input-output.
Clusters of Big Data
As reported in Microsoft, in SQL Server of 2019 it became much simpler to manage Wednesday for Big Data. This product contains basic elements of the lake of data — a distributed file system of Hadoop (HDFS), Spark and tools of the analysis. All of them are closely integrated with SQL Server and are supported Microsoft.
Scalar UDF Inlining
In SQL Server of 2019 the Scalar UDF Inlining function — embedding of scalar user functions appeared. Instead of separate processing of function, it is built in a vista shot that leads to substantial increase of performance.
Intellectual request processing
Of requests and the improved scaling of frequent requests thanks to mechanisms of intellectual request processing do to Parallelization performance much higher. The postponed compilation of tabular variables more than for 50% accelerates request processing.
Integration of the structured and unstructured data
SQL Server of 2019 allows the companies to obtain valuable information from the structured and unstructured data, integrating power of new clusters of Big Data with the improved virtualization of data, the head Azure Data & AI John Chirapurath noted.
According to him, new features in SQL Server allow not only to store and request enterprise-wide Big Data, but also to integrate them with structured data in any database in which they can be, for example, in SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB and PostgreSQL.[1]
