In June, 2017 Microsoft announced corporate video service of Stream. With its help the companies can extend video content among employees.
The product assumes creation of a controlled environment in which employees of the organization can easily load videos, share them with other users and also watch other internal commercials of the company.
According to developers, Stream conforms to corporate security requirements, but at the same time it is rather simple in use. Automatic transcribing of the text and face recognition which are implemented thanks to a cloud platform of Microsoft Azure became remarkable intellectual functions of innovation. The artificial intelligence helps to look for the necessary personnel automatically.
Besides, the service received close integration with other products of the company, including with Office 365 Groups Microsoft Teams Yammer, OneNote and SharePoint.
Testing of Stream lasted about a year. During this time over 100 thousand users from more than 11 thousand companies were connected to service. Microsoft notes that the number of subscribers considerably will increase at least because the company is going to transfer all users of the Office 365 Video video portal to Stream.
Stream is a part of packets of Microsoft Office 365 of Enterprise K1, K2, E1, E3, E5, Education and Education Plus. Corporate video service is available to users of these subscriptions, since June 20, 2017. Without subscription of Office 365 access to service can be purchased separately.
Use of the basic Stream functions, such as storage and video transmission, will cost the companies $3 counting on one user a month. (For example, the translation of the text in the speech and search of persons in a frame) should be paid in addition for more advanced opportunities to $2.[1]
