2025: No sales due to lack of demand
On May 15, 2025, it became known that Microsoft ceased production of the Surface Laptop Studio 2, its most powerful laptop, convertible laptop. After the sale of warehouse balances, the device will be withdrawn from sales.

On May 2, 2017, Microsoft unveiled the first classic laptop in its range. The Microsoft Surface Laptop is positioned as a competitor to the Apple MacBook for students.
The novelty received a 13.5-inch PixelSense touchscreen display with a resolution of 2256 x 1504 pixels and an aspect ratio of 3:2. The hardware is based processor Intel on Core i5 or i7 (depending on the configuration). The amount of RAM reaches 16 GB, and the capacity of the solid-state drive is 1 TB.

There are Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 LE wireless modules, USB 3.0 and Mini DisplayPort ports.
Surface Laptop uses the new Windows 10S operating system. It is a lightweight version of Windows 10, which is primarily designed for students, teachers and administrators who do not have time to worry about installing updates once again.
