On November 21, 2022, it became known that the Chinese company Xiaomi began selling its first refrigerator Mijia Cross Side Door Refrigerator 520L. Its volume is 520 liters.

The configuration of the novelty provides for a refrigeration chamber with a volume of 352 liters and a 168-liter freezing compartment. There are several food storage shelves in the refrigeration compartment, as well as two vegetable and fruit boxes, the temperature of which allows them to keep fresh for longer. The freezing area provides a food freezing capacity of about 6 kg for 12 hours.

The walls of Mijia Cross Side Door Refrigerator 520L received an antibacterial coating with silver ions, which prevents the development of microorganisms. In addition, there is a built-in deodorizer responsible for eliminating unwanted odors. The device is made using No-Frost technology, which provides cooling using circulating cold air. This prevents frost formation and eliminates the need to defrost the refrigerator.

The model offers three different modes of operation to choose from - Smart Mode, Super Cool Mode and Super Freeze Mode. To interact with the refrigerator, you can use a smartphone or tablet with the accompanying Mijia application: through it you can configure and set the required temperature in both chambers - from + 2 to + 8 degrees Celsius in the refrigerator compartment and from -16 to -24 degrees in the freezer compartment. On one of the upper doors there is a small information display.

In the Chinese market, the Mijia Cross Side Door Refrigerator 520L is offered at an estimated price of $380. The possible timing of the start of deliveries to other regions by November 22, 2022 was not reported.^[1]
