2026: Ideco NGFW Compatibility

MIST and Ideco on February 3, 2026 announced the expansion of joint capabilities for managing network security. Based on the results of joint tests, the compatibility of the MIST Insight NSPM system and the next generation Ideco NGFW firewall was confirmed - from connecting API data collection to traffic modeling and controlling changes in security rules.

The tests were conducted by information security specialists of companies in a laboratory test environment and covered key scenarios for product integration, including configuration processing, access policy change analysis, and network flow modeling. During the development and verification of the connector, consultations of technical specialists of the information security company were used. The results of the tests showed that the NSPM system, starting with version 2.2, collects and simulates the configurations of the firewall versions 19 and 20.

The cooperation provides for the maintenance of the test environment in an up-to-date state taking into account the update of NGFW versions and the expansion of operating scenarios, including the use of various routing protocols, VPN types, Policy-Based Routing mechanisms and other functions used in corporate networks. Development interoperability provides centralized security policy management, configuration change control, and operational risk mitigation while maintaining distributed network infrastructures. The solution is focused on operating in infrastructures with a large number of network devices and is used to automate the processes of controlling access policies, optimizing rules and segmenting the network.

2025: Integration with PT NGFW

Positive Technologies and MIST announced compatibility of their products on October 21, 2025: now the MIST Insight network infrastructure analysis and control system supports integration with the next generation PT NGFW firewall.

As part of the integration, MIST Insight implements: PT NGFW connection through the API, automatic collection and display of configurations, rules and access policies, analysis of changes in security settings, as well as traffic flow according to specified policies.

Building an optimal and efficient migration process from foreign products is a priority for many Russian companies.

The joint use of MIST Insight and PT NGFW provides customers with the opportunity to provide convenient, centralized tools for controlling the corporate network infrastructure, including equipment from different vendors, both Russian and foreign.
