2025: Product Announcement
On February 19, 2025, Alef Aeronautics introduced a vehicle called the Model A on electric traction. This is the world's first flying car capable of traveling on public roads.
The Model A is an eVTOL type machine - vertical take-off and landing plus electric propulsion. In the lower part of the vehicle there are bearing screws, each of which is driven by its own electric motor. Inside, there is room for only two people - the driver/pilot and the passenger.
When driving on the ground, the Model A can travel up to 352km on a single battery pack charge. The flying car is capable of moving a maximum of 176 km through the air. In the future, in addition to the fully electric version powered by batteries, Alef Aeronautics plans to release a modification with a hydrogen power plant.
According to the developers, the owners will be able to use Model A as a regular car, which most of the time moves on public roads. When necessary, for example, when traffic jams or road works occur, motorists will be able to take to the air and fly over any obstacles. All the main onboard systems of the vehicle are duplicated, which ensures a high level of safety. In emergency situations, the car can land by parachute.
Alef Aeronautics plans to start production of Model A at the end of 2025: the price of a flying car will be from $300 thousand. In addition, work is underway on a more affordable Model Z machine, the price of which is expected to start at $35,000. But the release of this model will take place no earlier than 2035.[1]
