2021: Smart Shuttle Unmanned Bus Presentation
On August 23, 2021, specialists from the Moscow Polytechnic first presented the Smart Shuttle, a drone for the park zone equipped with automatic control. The technique is configured so that it can recognize objects, signs and paths thanks to special software and sensors. The drone is designed for 4 passengers.
Cameras, radars, a global positioning system, ultrasonic sensors are all components of a drone that is designed for four passengers and operates on an electric drive.
The drone can be used as an excursion bus to travel along various predetermined routes laid in advance in the system. The range of the vehicle is 140 km. Also, the Smart Shuttle can provide transportation of visitors to geographically remote areas of the parks.
Due to the fact that the wheel arches of unmanned vehicles are closed, the design is as safe as possible, emphasized in Mospolitech. Its feature is also compact dimensions that increase maneuverability - it is convenient to use on the territory of small park zones.
The Smart Shuttle is equipped with an in-cabin vision system that analyzes cabin filling and correct passenger accommodation. This allows you to remotely check and monitor the safety of passengers.
Specialists of the Moscow Polytechnic are developing a vision system that allows you to move around the territory, analyzing only visual information without using a global positioning system.
