2019: Release of the digital debit card
On December 25, 2019 VTB reported that it together with an international payment system of Visa began issue of digital bank cards in mobile application VTB online. Now clients can issue the digital debit card and use it without the need for production of plastic with preserving of all advantages of a flagship product of bank - Multikarta.
Digital Multikarta is the full-fledged debit card in an online format. It is issued instantly in VTB Online and can be issued in any of three currencies: Russian ruble, US dollar or euro. Owners have an opportunity to set own settings - the PIN code and a method of the notification on transactions and also to select one of options of the rewards program.
Clients can always look at details of the digital map in VTB Online for commission of Internet purchases and also add it to a purse of the Apple Pay or Google Pay for payments in shops using the smartphone.
