2018: NEC PH3501QL and NEC PH2601QL models
On February 9, 2018 the NEC Display Solutions company provided the projectors with red-blue (RB) laser source intended for obtaining the image of cinema quality in the biggest premises. Two models enter the PH series: NEC PH3501QL and NEC PH2601QL.
Projectors of the PH series are created taking into account needs of large platforms on which it is necessary to receive video of cinema quality at the available cost on all service life. Projectors use the last achievements in technology of laser sources of RB light for achievement of the new brightness levels and high resolution in combination with low operating costs for a number of applications and premises. The projector of PH3501QL provides brightness in 40000 lm, and PH2601QL – 30000 lm.
Models use laser technologies with a laser and phosphorus source and the RGB laser. Use of red and blue laser source of light allows to overcome the restrictions of a color rendition and brightness characteristic of the traditional laser and phosphorus projective systems, providing quality and high uniformity of the image.
The management system for a luminous flux gives significant economy of operating costs in comparison with the projective systems on the basis of lamps, thanks to lower energy consumption, does not require service, replacement of lamps and filters during all service life of the laser – 20 thousand hours.
As note in the company, the presentations for very large audience require the huge screen, quite often their size reaches 10 m and more. Projectors of the PH series meet these requirements. They have the actual 4K-permission and brightness to 40000 lm, providing a possibility of viewing even in the conditions of high illumination.
Projectors of the PH series provide convenient installation, wide vertical (+/-50%) and horizontal (+/-17%) adjustments of a lens, offer the choice of bayonet lenses with a wide zoom. It provides convenient installation and facilitates replacement of old projectors. In projectors there are also connectivities meeting the requirements of future applications including numerous inputs 4K and intellectual processing of a signal, such as "picture in picture" or "picture behind a picture" to provide "bespikselny" viewing on big screens.
In Russia the NEC PH3501QL and NEC PH2601QL models will be available for sale in March-April, 2018.[1]
