NPO IT: AN Orbit IV 1.2 Information and telemetric system

2020: Creation of an information and telemetric system of "AN Orbit IV 1.2" for Angara-1.2.

On August 3, 2020 the Russian Space Systems holding (RKS, is included into Roskosmos State corporation) announced creation of the information and telemetric system (ITS) of "AN Orbit IV 1.2" for the carrier rocket of the easy class "Angara-1.2". A system will provide measurements and control of parameters at working off and operation of a rocket.

Made by specialists of JSC Scientific and Production Association of the Measuring Equipment (NPO IT, is included into RKS holding) ITS of "AN Orbit IV 1.2" – the high-informative telemetric system having flexibility of configuring. Its functional analogs were reused at working off of products of the missile and space equipment that confirms its high operational reliability. The technical principles underlain in a system provide high potential for upgrade and increase in informational content.

The system of "Orbit" is developed especially for the easy Angara-1.2 carrier. It is a serious digital system which covers all set of measurements onboard the carrier rocket. The configuration of the equipment of each information and telemetric system of "Orbit" depends on structure of measurements for a specific step.

Under the agreement with JSC State Research and Production Space Center of M.V. Khrunichev branch production association "Weeds" (Omsk) NPO IT will make three sets of Orbit for three rockets. Sets for the beginning of August, 2020 are in a production stage.

The Angara Russian space missile system (SMS) includes in the structure family of environmentally friendly carrier rockets of different classes. Creation of KRK Angara is a problem of special state importance. Input of KRK Angara will allow Russia to bring spacecrafts of all types from the territory into operation and will provide to our country the independent guaranteed access to space. The head developer enterprise of a complex is JSC State Research and Production Space Center of Khrunichev. KRK is created by cooperation of the Russian industrial enterprises and construction organizations using exclusively domestic element base.
