2024: Product Announcement
At the end of May 2024, the Chinese company Neolix introduced a fully unmanned vehicle X3 in Shanghai, designed to deliver parcels and cargo. It is assumed that the emergence of such machines will increase the efficiency of various delivery services.
Shanghai is one of the most loaded megacities in China in terms of express deliveries. According to the State Postal Bureau of the PRC, in 2023 the number of such operations in the city exceeded 3.7 billion. This means that more than 10 million express deliveries are carried out in Shanghai every day. Such a high demand for the service led to an increase in the load on couriers and gave rise to problems with hiring employees for companies working in the relevant area. The Neolix X3 self-driving car is expected to partially eliminate logistical difficulties.
The machine is equipped with a fourth-level autopilot system, which allows you to move completely independently. The equipment includes all kinds of sensors and cameras that help to recognize obstacles and control the road situation. The robomobile is capable of autonomously moving on public roads at speeds up to 40 km/h.
The cargo compartment has a capacity of 3 cubic meters. For one flight, the car is capable of taking on board up to 300 parcels (depending on their size and weight). The battery Block provides a range of up to 100 km per charge. In addition to cargo delivery, the Neolix X3 platform can be used in other scenarios, in particular, in the retail industry. For example, the Italian company Rhea Vendors Group, in partnership with Neolix, created a coffee shop on wheels on the basis of the machine. The solution combines a vending machine and self-driving technology.[1]
