History

2015: SafeNet Virtual KeySecure for NetApp Cloud ONTAP

On November 17, 2015 the Gemalto company announced the beginning of cooperation with Netapp company. The partnership purpose - creation of integrated solution for data storage, enciphering and key management for clients of Amazon Web Services (AWS).

The solution which part SafeNet Virtual KeySecure and Netapp Cloud ONTAP technologies were presented in the form of the unified offer of SafeNet Virtual KeySecure for Netapp Cloud ONTAP in AWS Marketplace shop, will allow the organizations to provide storage and enciphering of the data and applications in virtual environments, saving at the same time flexibility and dynamism of business and receiving full control over the encryption keys.

Use of the virtual devices SafeNet Virtual KeySecure with Netapp Cloud ONTAP service helps to receive similar control, offering the effective mechanism of centralized operation by keys for the virtualized environments due to use of the configured security policies for data access.

The solution integrates in itself modern infrastructure of data storage of Netapp and the solution SafeNet for key management that allows to protect data of customers and their encryption keys from a non-authorized access, at the same time providing to customers the most effective use of investments into data storage infrastructure.
