NetApp FAS8000
In February, 2014 NetApp presented at global market and in Russia the new product line of FAS8000 intended for creation of horizontally scalable cluster DWH of a corporate class.
The line of FAS8000 includes three types of blocks. The first of them – FAS8020 - should come to replacement of model of the previous generation of FAS/V3220. The block contains 12 main cores, 48 GB of memory, 8 GB of RAM and 6 TB VST of flash-memory.

The company notes that separate FAS8000 blocks provide higher performance to two times, than in the previous lines (up to 2.6 million IOPS) and allow to set up to three times more flash-memories and also have a large number of ports.
New products are intended only for use as a part of a cluster based on own Netapp OS Data ONTAP and allow to integrate SAN, NAS and virtualization DWH in a uniform hybrid array.
