On April 28, 2020 the Commvault company, the software maker for data management in clouds and in corporate IT infrastructure, announced release of the solution Netapp Scale-out Data Protection (SDP) giving enhanced capabilities of fast recovery of crucial data which are stored in hybrid storage systems of Netapp company. Using all pluses of a product portfolio of Netapp, this solution works at the software of Commvault CompleteTM Backup and Recovery with complete functionality of management of "instant pictures", backup and disaster recovery of data.

In the solution of Netapp of a SDP system of Netapp of HCI, All-Flash-FAS and StorageGRID are integrated with Commvault software, and as a result the customer who selected this solution receives a complete packet of technologies which it is possible to implement quickly and effectively, easily to scale and also to construct in the customer's IT infrastructure object storage for effective protection of the crucial applications unrolled in a cloud. Thanks to the strong support of disk arrays, cloud 'instant pictures' implemented in the software by Commvault, a full range of applications and API interfaces of virtual machines, Commvault and NetApp could simplify data protection in a hybrid cloud environment, having issued the joint solution providing extremely fast and reliable indicators of RPO/RTO and also long-term storage in the integrated cloud environment.
