The Fluke Networks company announced in May, 2012 release of the new version of the portable tablet PC for systems analysis of OptiView XG. The main focus in the new version is placed on providing enhanced capabilities of visual control of the traditional and virtualized data acquisition and processing centers for fast determination of problems and their basic reasons, reported in the company.
The new opportunities for search and fault recovery provided to OptiView XG allow users to fix the arising problems within only several minutes, without need to resort to the help of different tools and to spend many hours for the solution of this or that task. Except these enhanced capabilities, the new version of the OptiView XG tablet is compatible to technologies and protocols of data processing centers of high degree of availability, including switches of the Cisco Nexus Series components, the protocol of the router of hot sparing (HSRP) and aggregation of channels.
Two new features of search and fault recovery which are available in OptiView XG v8 are responsible for capability of the tablet quickly to identify ways of transfer of a dannykha to isolate problems in physical and virtual networks. These functions are testing of network a one click of a key (1-Click NetTest) and the automated multisegment analysis (Automated Multi-Segment Analysis).
After end of the analysis system administrators have an opportunity to make the consolidated summary report specifying where exactly there was a problem — in network or on the server. Such report is necessary when it is required to bring evidence and certificates to other interested persons. If the problem arose not in network and requires more detailed analysis of applications, system administrators can use the function of the automated multisegment analysis available in other OptiView XG tablet, for collecting and consolidation of the trace files arriving from different segments that allows to define the place where there is data loss and a delay noted in Fluke Networks.
