2021: The announcement of Nike GO FlyEase - the sneakers which are put on without hands

At the beginning of February, 2021 Nike provided GO FlyEase sneakers which can be put on and taken off without hands. Innovation first of all is focused on physically disabled people and also sneakers can be extremely relevant during the proceeding COVID-19 pandemic.

GO FlyEase from Nike is more convenient and stylish analog of the popular Crocs footwear. Sneakers offer similar functions, namely an opportunity it is easy to put shoes on without use of hands, externally new model of Nike looks as normal sneakers without laces.

Unlike Crocs which have an additional thong on an ankle the sock and a back of GO FlyEase are equipped with the mechanism in the form of an elastic tape which "separates" footwear in half. In a front part of a sneaker there is a big opening intended for free sliding of a leg after penetration to the person there it is enough to press a foot to a floor that footwear fully took a normal form.

The top of sneakers consists of textiles and a technological grid, and the sole is equipped with two separate shock-absorbing pillows in a front and back part. Innovation of GO FlyEase will be initially provided in three coloring - light pastel, dark with blue and violet inserts and black.

The elected clients of Nike company will be able to purchase new GO FlyEase sneakers since February 15th, 2021, their cost will be $120. Broader availability is planned on the end of 2021.

Start of sales of new model directly via the Nike website is a part of strategy of the company on product sales directly to consumers, but not through third-party retail sellers. In December, 2020 Nike reported that its sales on the Internet for the last quarter grew by 84% as people began to give preference to daily footwear and also models for sport.^[1]
