Novell ZENworks 11 is the complete solution for management of endpoints. The ZENworks 11 platform integrates in itself four products: ZENworks Configuration Management, ZENworks Endpoint Security Management, ZENworks Asset Management and ZENworks Patch Management that provides to IT administrators single solution for tasks of control of workstations, ensuring their security, software management and updates to it and also trackings of observance of a license policy of software — in a physical, virtual and cloud environment — at the same time helping to solve short-term problems, such as transition to Windows 7.

ZENworks 11 equipped with a management system based on electronic persons and new opportunities for use of data on location allows administrators to manage devices taking into account the one who uses them and where they are located, thereby ensuring higher level of labor productivity and safety. Other features of ZENworks 11 a possibility of setup of parameters of power management of Windows *, solving of tasks of remote control of power consumption using technology of Intel * are among vPro * and also administrations and installations of corrections on Windows - and Linux*-devices — and all this from one console.

The Novell company released in February, 2012 the second service pack to the packet of systems management of Zenworks 11. In updating of Zenworks 11 SP2 full-disk enciphering is for the first time implemented, and the improved support of machines running the Mac OS operating system helps to cope with the growing number of such machines in corporate networks.

The emphasis on support of Macs Apple became a distinguisher of updating of Zenworks 11 SP2 regarding control of terminal units. In particular, using ZENWorks 11 Support Pack 2, administrators can automate installation of updates to Mac-systems, automatically unroll software products and operate practically any vehicle with any operating system. Besides, full-fledged remote control and inventory of resources by machines with the Mac OS X system is supported. All latest versions of the platform, including Mac OS X Leopard, Snow Leopard and Lion are supported.

Full-disk enciphering in a packet of Zenworks supports the systems of both program, and hardware encryption. The built-in centralized control system of keys so administrators do not need to trace all keys used at the enterprise is also implemented. Administrators can generate reports for data protection audit, showing what systems are exposed to enciphering. At last, it is possible to cipher only separate folders.

Zenworks packet is available in the form of an independent product now, and its separate components are included in structure of sets of two new sets. For example, a set of the products Novell Endpoint Protection Suite is delivered with the modules Full Disk Encryption (full-disk enciphering), ZENworks Endpoint Security Management (control of protection of terminal units) and ZENworks Patch Management (an optional superstructure for the automated installation of corrections). All three of these modules are controlled from one console with the web interface. Also the Novell company integrated the Endpoint Lifecycle Management Suite sets (management of lifecycle of the client systems) and Endpoint Protection Suite (protection of the client systems) in one new Novell Total Endpoint Management Suite set.

The Zenworks technology allows IT departments of the enterprises to control work of a set of various platforms and to set security policies for all under control platforms from the single console. Also the Zenworks technology undertakes problems of inventory of resources, configuration management, installation of corrections and protection of the client systems. Security policies for users can be adjusted automatically according to the actual location and a role of the user. For example, the user can permit access to e-mail from any device on trips, and access to the accounting system – only from official cars in network of the enterprise. The Zenworks single console is used for management of all systems based on Windows, Linux and Mac OS.
