Nupas-Cadmatic - 3D-SAPR for design of the body of sea vessels.
Nupas-Cadmatic is a specialized software for shipyards and design bureaus, it is intended for design of courts, support of projects and production and also (by means of eShare technology) for the solution of a wide range of problems of operation of courts. Nupas-Cadmatic is used in projects of different types of vessel – from small and simple to large and difficult and also during creation of prestigious motor and sailing yachts.

Nupas-Cadmatic software - a joint product of the Dutch enterprise Numeriek Centrum Groningen B.V. specializing in designing of the body and other large metal components of courts and the Finnish company Cadmatic Oy operating in the field of the machine equipment and communications. Nupas-Cadmatic is used in 41 countries of the world in 540+ shipyards and the design organizations.
Nupas-Cadmatic use more than 20 Russian ship-building enterprises in construction work and shipbuilding.

System modules:
Section design (CAD/CAE) 3D Hull Engineering. Three-dimensional design of case constructions. Is a core of a system of design of the body and consists of the following submodules:
- 2D-Contek,
- 3D-Contek,
- 3D-Show,
- CAM-Autopart,
- CAM-Lists.
2D-Contek provides the main two-dimensional functionality of drawing used in all system. He uses the internal three-dimensional database of a form of the body for an interpoliryation and storage of lines of contours of the vessel. In this submodule the user has an opportunity to draw 2-dimensional drawings using the general drawing functions, layers and objects and to get access to three-dimensional objects of model.
3D-Show. In this submodule the user can apply three-dimensional development of construction of the body at an early stage in the 3-dimensional environment, so-called three-dimensional Model of the Product NUPAS-CADMATIC. The full range of functions is provided to the user for creation of the main sections of construction of the vessel: decks, partitions, set, etc.
3D-Contek. After initial design in 3D-Show, the user is given an opportunity to make all detailed study of construction of the body in 3D-Contek. Parts are projected on separate types by a usual method. A system automatically saves data in three-dimensional Model of the Product and provides relevance of model. In this module the same topological functionality as in 3D-Show is used. The library of the project used in this submodule consists of all necessary notches, standard for shipyard, types of cutting of the ends of a profile, standard sizes of a profile, standard brekt, etc. Krom of the standard elements depending on shipyard, the library provides installations, also specific to the project.
CAM-Autopart. In this submodule the geometry of parts of case constructions is generated. The geometry of sheet parts, including all information for marking of lines of a pritykaniye, the text, notches is, etc. directly ready to the next step - cutting. In addition to coding functionality for complete automatic numbering of panels and parts is also provided. The process which is completely automated however the user has an opportunity to manage process by means of a flexible set of installations and parameters.
CAM-Lists. From three-dimensional model the detailed lists of parts by means of the built-in report generator can be received. Such information as quantity of parts, location, weight, the center of gravity, the description, process flows is available. Data can be exported to other management systems for materials also. Standard reports: list of parts, list of a profile, list cutting of a profile, sketches of a profile, sketches of panels and a bent profile (including data for an inverse curve, etc.). The report generator gives to the user an opportunity to set his own format of the output data and also to change logistic data of parts using the Action on Reports function.
Plantek. The plan of the general arrangement, the main sections, the deck equipment, the plan of security and plans of arrangement of hatches, doors, etc. offers a certain specific functionality for creation and support of drawings, such as.
Plantek is the auxiliary module based on 2D-Contek. In Plantek the control interface of library for adding 2D - characters and automatic generation of specifications is implemented. The structure of library can be created according to requirements of the end user for categories and subcategories. Plantek also offers the automated Generator of List - function which helps the engineer to receive the list of the equipment on the characters used in the drawing. Ideal function for plans of security and locations of the deck. (modules A or C) are required
Diagram. Development of charts. The system integrated, managed by the database, data from which (names of systems, numbers of branches in systems, the specification) are transferred to the module Plant Modeller for further blueprint stages. Standard reports: schemes of a detail design, equipment lists, lists of branches systems and armature (requires existence of MS SQL the server).
Plant modeller. Three-dimensional modeling of systems and pipelines. The module integrated, managed by the database for three-dimensional design of pipeline systems and ventilation. Standard reports: drawings of arrangement, drawings of systems, specifications of systems, the list of materials, axonometrical, perspective and volume types in drawings. A system uses the intelligent system of library containing specific project components and the equipment.
The module is capable to reading the database of the NUPAS-CADMATIC Body to create the environment for three-dimensional modeling of pipelines in real time. Notch for pass of pipes to constructions can be made directly to three-dimensional Model of the Product. For this purpose, the integration module the Pipeline Body is required. The module also offers a number of extensive verifiabilities of the conflicts between sets of components set by the user and constructions of the body.

Section Production (CAM)
Seams and Butts. In this module the user has an opportunity to add and change joints and grooves in base of a surface of an outside covering projecting lines which are set in one of three types (the top view, the body and a side view), on a surface of NO of the vessel. This module which is completely focused on graphics is also controlled by means of panels and the menu friendly to the user. Different are provided in the module options of functions of copying and movement for work simplification. The module Shell Views as a basis is required.
Shell Views (3D Shell Expansion). Extension of an outside covering. In this module the user can create drawings of an extension of NO in four different types. The module creates a type of NO according to the region of that part of the vessel which is necessary for viewing. He turns on all joints and grooves and also all lines of a pritykaniye of internal constructions to an outside covering. Types which can be made – from a stern, sideways, on top and also space.
Shellplate Development & Templates. Development of parts But also templates. After adding of joints and grooves to the database of a form of the body, this module provides development of parts of NO. Development is calculated taking into account the lengthenings caused by a double curvature. Besides, marking of lines of pritykaniye of internal constructions and enrollment are also applied on development. Templates for are flexible are generated by a system automatically. Information for can be flexible is received in a tabular form.
All logistic data of parts of NO remain in the same three-dimensional Model of the Product, as internal construction and can therefore to be received in reports by the same method, as for other parts. The geometry of parts But also geometry of templates are generated also in the DXF format, as well as for other sheet parts in NUPAS-CADMATIC and can therefore to be processed by the same method in the cutting module. The module requires existence of Seams and Butts and Shell Views.
Shellplate Viewer. Three-dimensional display of parts of NO.
Pin-Jigs. Generator of a rack bed. Data for a rack bed are automatically taken for big panels of an outside covering. The module automatically calculates the optimized provision for a panel and generates the sketch of a rack bed with the calculated height of racks, lines of a marking and numbers of positions of parts of NO. Except the sketch of a rack bed the module also generates heights of racks in a tabular form. Other useful feature – an opportunity to receive the actual length of a frame from one line of marking to another on an extension. The user has a possibility of a configuration of such parameters as distance between racks, to move and rotate the basic plane of a bed for small adjustment. The module requires Shell Views.
Nesting. Cutting of sheet parts. The interactive module of cutting of sheet parts for optimization of a consumption of sheet material. Allows to receive managing programs for machines of thermal cutting (gas, plasma, the laser). Includes such opportunities as bridges, marking, the text, optimization of a sontur of cutting, information on cutting length, etc. (the server requires MS SQL)
Autonesting. Automatic cutting of sheet parts. This module is addition to the module Nesting. Allows to automate completely process of cutting or to work in combination with the interactive module. It gives big advantage, for example when cutting big parts in the interactive module and the subsequent automatic cutting of averages and fine details for optimization of use of the sheet. It is also possible to use Avtoraskra without resorting to the help of the interactive module. The special function called "Buffer cutting" gives to the user the chance to maximize use of automatic cutting, defining a warehouse of an available sheet material and a number of parts which should be cut out (including automatic generation of files of managing programs for machines of thermal cutting) in batch mode (Nesting is required).
Pipe. Pipelines. The module for production of drawings of izometriya and sketches of pipes and the other information necessary for production and installation of pipelines. Data for this module come directly from the module of three-dimensional design Plant Modeller (Plant modeller is required)
