2023: Entering the Russian Market
At the end of November 2023, Omoda announced the entry of its first electric car into the Russian market. We are talking about the Omoda E5 model, which will be on sale in the Russian Federation in the first quarter of 2024.
The charge consumption of the Omoda E5 is 15.5 kVt·ch per 100 km, and the range is 430 km. The electric car received fast charging technology, which allows you to replenish the battery charge from 20 to 80% in 30 minutes. Inside are two 12-inch screens, combined into one multimedia unit running a Qualcomm 8155 (SoC) processor.
The machine has a 61 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate battery and a 201 hp electric motor with a torque of 340 Nm. From 0 to 100 km/h, the car accelerates in 7.6 seconds.
The electric car also features an advanced next-generation driver assistance system (ADAS), which includes 17 features such as blind spot monitoring, reversing warning and automatic emergency braking capable of recognizing pedestrians and cyclists. The dimensions of the electric car are similar to the Omoda 5: length - 4400 mm, width - 1830 mm, height - 1590 mm, and wheelbase is 2630 mm. Other functions in the car include keyless access and quick start of the car by pressing only the gas pedal.
By the end of November 2023, the Omoda lineup in Russia includes the C5 crossover, which is offered in two versions with front and all-wheel drive, as well as the Omoda S5 sedan and its "charged" version of the S5 GT. In addition to the E5 electric crossover, a restyled S5 crossover is expected on the Russian market in 2024, as well as a new model called the C7.
The cost of Omoda E5 in Russia by the end of November 2023 is not called.[1]
