OpenScape 4000 - earlier a system carried the name HiPath, the system of communications. The communication solution is focused on averages, large and very large enterprises and the companies as located in one territory, and on geographically distributed network of branches.
2017: OpenScape 4000 V8 R1
In release of September, 2017 of the software of OpenScape 4000 V8 R1 the line of the telephone sets working at this platform is expanded. Redesign of some system modules, the augmented list of functions of SIP devices was made and also the cost of filial solutions is reduced. Until the end of the current year Unify will submit new version of the filial solution OpenScape Enterprise Gateway and a possibility of use of the mobile client of OpenScape Mobile directly on the OpenScape 4000 platform.
2013: OpenScape 4000
On December 2, 2013 the Unify company began sales of the new version of communications system of HiPath 4000: OpenScape 4000 v7.
Change of the name, according to the company, emphasizes the important place of a communication framework 4000 in its product portfolio and also capability of close integration with the application of Unified communications OpenScape UC.
Innovations
Support of VMware.
- In version 7 installation of the central switching system on VMware is supported. It reaches complete independence of the specific hardware and the possibility of effective system deployment in the environment of DPCs appears (vSphere 5.1 is required above). At the first stage such scenario is resolved only for the Simplex configurations when obtaining permission of PSR which will allow developers to support the first such projects actively. Integration of OpenScape 4000 V7 into infrastructure of data processing centers will allow to pass from already existing installation on standard servers to deployment in virtual environment of VMware.
In full, including support of the Duplex configuration, this opportunity will be available in OpenScape 4000 V7 R1 (according to the plan the middle of 2014).
OpenScape UC is service of uniform directory number
- In version 7 any types of subscriber OpenScape 4000 devices can be used in groups of uniform directory number (ONS group) at integration into the application of Unified communications OpenScape UC, namely, the digital OpenStage phones, the OpenStage HFA IP phones, program phones (softphones) OpenScape Desktop Client and also OpenStage Cordless tube. Among the supported functions:
- the Ability to manage connection and the status of the device even after establishment of an UC call
- The preferable UC device does not require existence of physically active ONS device

- Function of a handoff in the UC client
This version of the integrated OpenScape Cordless Enterprise V7 DECT system
- Now a DECT tube it is possible to include in group of uniform number and they can be managed through CTI.
Development of program carrying out of OpenScape 4000 SoftGate - In this version program carrying out of OpenScape Access and OpenScape 4000 SoftGate supports connection to 16 modules (instead of former 9) that allows to service larger branches.
