The product OptimEase is based on own patented ChemTech technology combining thermodynamic and statistical modules.
As of August, 2018, OptimEase has different modifications for three types of installations:
- Rectifying installations
- Catalytic installations
- Petrochemistry and thin chemistry

Modules
The thermodynamic module is one of two key OptimEase components. The thermodynamic module of petrochemical installation on which the OptimEase system is based is a guarantee of reliability of optimization decisions which are confirmed by advanced technologies of machine learning and artificial intelligence. Within project implementation the thermodynamic module OptimEase is configured for the existing petrochemical installation to consider all nuances of the equipment of installation and a catalytic system, aspects of process connections and specifics of management systems. It helps to describe precisely parameters of an operating mode and the product characteristic.
The thermodynamic module is used at an analysis stage of quality of historical data of installation for the purpose of the choice of credible intervals for further machine learning. At the same time thermodynamic module helps to fill spaces in the historical data existing as a result of specificity of DCS systems, rare measurements of laboratory analyses, data loss on devices. A main objective of the module is the choice of an optimal operation mode of installation taking into account the current input parameters, restrictions of the equipment, external requirements and factors.
The second key OptimEase component is the statistical module acting on the basis of artificial intelligence. The module is constructed on data of the current installation therefore its unique aspects are considered. During training of the module the selected historical these installations are used in combination with the data obtained from the created thermodynamic module. A main objective of the module of machine learning is determination of target values of work of installation, for example, of the parameters of product quality based on a current status of installation, traced using a DCS system.
Target parameters are defined in real time without delays that is of great importance for optimization of operation of the process unit.
The artificial intelligence, based on historical data, predicts values of target parameters on the set time frame and provides an optimal operation mode of installation taking into account this forecast.
System designation
OptimEase includes two modules which at the same time work together: thermodynamic and statistical modules. As a result all leading algorithms of artificial intelligence in combination with a thermodynamic basis are applied to development of the final decision on optimization.
OptimEase executes a role of the optimizer of installation who analyzes all necessary and significant information for process. Operator's guides or data on an input (depending on OptimEase implementation) are developed for DCS taking into account type of raw materials and its forecast, opportunities of the equipment of installation and its current loading, market conditions, weather parameters, etc.
The combination of the leading approaches helps to avoid need of accomplishment of a factorial experiment for industrial cases that allows to avoid economic losses. During operation a system repeatedly studies at continuously arriving data that allows to provide recommendations about optimization with a high accuracy. OptimEase can be implemented on the installation equipped only with the DCS system and also on the installation equipped with DCS in combination with one or several modules APC.
