Oracle Cloud Infrastructure as a Service-provides computing services of general purpose and services of data storage for support of any applications.
On October 21, 2013 the Oracle company announced a cloud service of IaaS - Oracle Infrastructure as a Service.
Description
Oracle Infrastructure as a Service will provide to customers of a possibility of development and deployment of business applications, providing:
- the flexible computing service compatible to OpenStack Nova - providing virtual processors (vCPU) on which it is possible to unroll assemblies Oracle Virtual Assembly Builder and the Oracle VM templates
- the array for data storage for permanent data storage, can be used together with other Oracle Cloud services (it is implemented in the form of DAS (Direct Attached Storage), NAS (Network Attached Storage) or DBMS-backed Storage (the storage system which is closely integrated with DBMS))
- the object storage (defining storage unit as a virtual object) for different services Oracle Cloud, compatible to OpenStack Swift for support of the Java and REST API interfaces.
