Oracle Cloud Machine

The cloud service of Oracle Cloud Machine allows clients to place the data on a cloud platform of vendor in own DPC. In fact, it is services "infrastructure as service" (IaaS) and "platform as service" (PaaS) thanks to which customers can "register" a public cloud of Oracle in the DPCs in the territory of our country — by means of lease of hardware and software systems. Such removal of a part of an operator cloud in perimeter of the customer allows to conform to requirements of the legislation, in particular, of rather personal data of citizens, a trade secret and the classified information.

Oracle began Cloud Machine sales

On December 19, 2016 the press service of Oracle announced the beginning of sales in Russia of the cloud infrastructure solution Cloud Machine on the model providing data encryption on the party of the customer. According to sight of the company, it will provide to services a full compliance to the Russian legislation on localization of personal data of Russians in the territory of the Russian Federation.

Earlier clients of the company had two options: purchase of the license for software products with their deployment at own capacities and a subscription to service in the public cloud managed by Oracle. Now the third was added to them: services will also begin to work at server capacities of Oracle, as well as in a standard public cloud of the company (functional differences will not be), but all data will be ciphered, encryption keys will begin to be stored at the customer, and actions of administrators of Oracle will be recorded. As a result the client will be able to develop own system of control of security in the network under protection of own firewall (firewall). The company is sure - such scheme of customer interaction in Russia will allow them to solve problems of localization of data (such as the personal, containing bank or trade secret, the classified information) according to the last requirements of the Russian legislation. They, in particular, order to process personal data of Russians only in the territory of the Russian Federation^[1].

At the same time, as in DPC and in a cloud of Oracle it is used same program and it is possible to transfer the hardware, applications and data between them, in fact, with a speed of their migration. Oleg Zhukov

The senior vice president for the Oracle Cloud direction Steve Dakheb considers the offer advantageous option for solving of tasks of testing and development, calling it the effective platform for transfer of crucial business applications, such as ERP CRM systems of billing , etc.

Believe in the companies, Cloud Machine will attract not only the large, but also small companies limited in the budget. They will be able to replace traditional servers cloud of Oracle, and costs for them from capital will pass into discharge of operating rooms.

The billing model at Oracle Cloud Machine is similar to a public cloud of Oracle Cloud — the customer pays for service upon use or on the fixed rate.

By the form payments cloud services of Oracle Cloud Machine are divided into two categories — measured (metered) and not measured (non metered), i.e. services with the fixed monthly payment. The last means just a subscription to fixed term with monthly payment irrespective of quantity of really consumed resources which maximum volume is also defined initially. The measured service is paid for actually consumed resources — only when in this service there is a need, including hourly support.

On March 30, 2016 the Oracle company announced release of Oracle Cloud Machine - solutions for deployment of public cloud services behind the customer's firewall - in his DPC.

The company created a uniform point of responsibility for providing cloud services at the client - Oracle. Equipment rooms and software tools and infrastructure management are provided by Oracle. Oracle Cloud Operations provides remote and safe control.

The company provides a delivery guarantee as a part of Oracle Cloud Machine software used in a public cloud of Oracle Cloud. Oracle also confirms support of identity of a private and public cloud regarding updates.

Oracle Cloud Machine is controlled remotely from Oracle Cloud Operations using safe remote connection, with minimum possible access rights that the client used cloud services, but was not engaged in infrastructure maintenance. To each customer the technical manager (is included in the price of service) is appointed, he helps to plan resources, to optimize performance and to resolve any other issues on services.

Oracle Cloud Machine is on sale on a subscription as a set of services. The customer buys services IaaS and PaaS, but not hardware and the software. Price policy is similar to c Oracle Cloud (a public cloud) that facilitates process of acquisition for the client. The client selects necessary services and defines how to use them - in borders local data center or by means of access through Internet.

The platform allows use of products of third-party suppliers with preserving of all cloud properties.
