At the beginning of January, 2020 Oral-B, one of the largest developers of technologies for care of an oral cavity, provided the smart Oral-B iO toothbrush which selects pressure force on teeth.

The producer says that this product was developed on the basis of more than six years of researches using more than 250 patents from around the world. Oral-B iO is supplied with the magnetic drive which distributes pressure on tips of bristles more effectively, doing cleaning more softer, and power consumption of the accumulator to more effective, than when using other toothbrushes with the electric drive. The head of a toothbrush integrates the oscillatory and rotating movements with microvibrations that provides deeper, smooth and effective cleaning of teeth.

Besides, the new toothbrush is supplied with the intelligent Bimodal pressure sensor which provides regenerative feedback when toothbrushing and optimal pressure range. The sensor is connected with the intelligent drive of a toothbrush which regulates pressure force on teeth for the purpose of protection of gums and enamel. Oral-B iO is also equipped with the simple and intuitive user interface. Using the small screen the toothbrush welcomes users and also makes recommendations and motivates the owner throughout all process of toothbrushing. The new toothbrush supports seven modes, providing the personalized experience of use.

The AI algorithm monitors process of toothbrushing using the Oral-B iO application which offers the user a number of the recommendation, based on the available data on cleaning (all data on uses of a toothbrush using Bluetooth go directly to the application). In clinical trials Oral-B iO provided deep cleaning of teeth and gums, allowing users easily and to effectively maintain health of an oral cavity.^[1]
