The student of the 5th course of mekhaniko-mathematical faculty of the Perm state national research university Denis Lavrikov creates the Kinect Med application which by cameras and techniques of computer vision determines, how correctly the person executes physical exercises, and creates for it an individual complex of loadings. For this purpose the developer adapted the touch game controller which was used in the Xbox One prefix.
According to the student, the similar application has no analogs: unlike other options, it assumes individual use, more informatively, easily to use and cheap. First of all, it is focused on people who recover from injuries and also on those who want to estimate correctness of accomplishment of exercises in the fitness centers.
The application is created based on the contactless touch Kinect 2.0 controller which as the prefix is connected to the normal personal computer. Using several built-in cameras it visually reveals errors in accomplishment of physical exercises. For this purpose the person needs to connect the device to the computer, to rise at distance 1.5 meters from it and to begin to execute loadings.
"Our application defines errors in movements by a mathematical apparatus, technologies and techniques of computer vision and selects groups of muscles which participate in the movement, – the student of PGNIU tells. – In an analysis result the automated "trainer" offers the person an individual complex of loadings for correction of biomechanical errors of a body quicker to achieve result".
All process will happen to the minimum intervention from doctors and trainers. As the developer considers, a system will be useful to treatment and prevention facilities, private clinics, the fitness centers and in individual use. Automation will help the bigger number of people to have routine inspection and at earlier stage to receive the qualified help that will allow to correct more simply and quicker biomechanical errors.
The project is in implementation phase of basic elements of a system. So far the application is capable to estimate squats and side bends which are executed by the person. Also young scientist already carried out the first tests among 100 people.
