2023: Deliveries to Russian troops
Stavropol Radio Plant "Signal" has developed a platform for remote control of a tank machine gun PKT. The press service of Rostec (the state corporation is the owner of the KRET concern, which, in turn, includes Signal) spoke about this product in November 2023.
According to Andrey Kocherga, General Director of Signal PJSC, the PKT control module allows you to observe the target in real time and conduct targeted shooting at a distance of 50 to 1100 meters to the target.
At the same time, the product has the possibility of retrofitting with a thermal imaging module and a night vision device. The platform was not only tested at training grounds, but also has already been tested in a real combat situation, "Kocherga added. |
The product was developed by specialists of the Signal plant at the direct request of fighters from the zone of special military operation of the Russian Federation in Ukraine. It is noted that the process of creating the module, which was carried out with the participation of future users, took two months. The platform received a high-resolution video camera stabilized in two planes with 30x zoom. The operator controls the turret using a terminal consisting of a joystick and a monitor, which can be executed in case format. The complex is armed with a Kalashnikov tank machine gun, which provides a rate of fire of up to 750 rounds per minute.
Rostec reported in November 2023 that four such platforms had already been sent to the SVO zone for use in the 247th Guards Airborne Assault Caucasian Cossack Regiment. Five more installations will be delivered by the end of 2023.
Very good products, they have proven themselves well, from the best side they showed themselves in battle. On behalf of the command of the unit, we transmit a letter of thanks to all developers, factory workers, - said a soldier of the 247th airborne assault regiment, whose words are quoted by the Rostec press service[1] |
