PMA Smart Electric Blanket (smart blanket)

2019: Announcement

In October, 2019 Xiaomi provided a smart blanket which maintains temperature and is controlled by voice. The range of the producer filled up a product under the name of PMA Smart Electric Blanket.

The blanket is allocated with the special mode of a dream which maintains temperature at the different level, being synchronized with body temperature. It guarantees permanent comfort to the user during sleep, report in Xiaomi.

Innovation will be on sale in several versions differing in a technology basis (with a decanter and an electrical heating wire) and the size (80 x 150 and 150 x 170 cm). 

At larger model power consumption is 120 W, at another — 60 W. In the device a system with tension of 24 V is applied that in the theory is safe for the person.

For control of the device it is possible to use the voice assistant to XiaoAI and mobile application of Mijia through which it is possible to include heating of a blanket before going to sleep.

During sleep the blanket reacts to body temperature and changes warmth. It is single and two-sleeping. If under a blanket two persons sleep, it adapts to the body temperature of everyone.

Speaking about features of the product, the producer also noted "the minimalist design well-known on other products of Xiaomi"

The cost of PMA Smart Electric Blanket begins with 199 yuans ($28) for less dimensional version with wires. The graphene option costs from 399 yuans ($56). Sales of a smart blanket start on November 29, 2019.

The product will be originally available in China. About its emergence in other countries, it is not reported. Most likely, it can be ordered on AliExpress.

Earlier in 2019 Xiaomi released the smart electric Smartmi Electric Heater 1S heater with access to Wi-Fi and an ability to manage through the application.^[1]
