The PM Forsyth team has updated the goals and indicators panel. Now senior managers can track the links of strategic goals with projects being implemented at any time.
In the version of PM Forsyth released in March 2021, the Portfolios module was updated. Now the top managers of the company have the opportunity to associate projects with specific goals and track the implementation of the latter.
The tracking mechanism is quite simple. The portfolio manager introduces strategic goals into the system and decomposes them into smaller ones. When the project is initiated, it is assigned to a specific goal, and when it is completed, the fixed goal is accordingly achieved. Within the framework of the vertical goals, progress also affects the implementation of the strategic goals of the Portfolio.

2018: Updated set of functionality for executive bodies of state power
In October 2018, Proyektnaya PRAKTIKA Group of Companies officially announced the release of an updated release of the Forsyth PM project management system (version for the public sector). This release of the Forsyth PM includes a set of functionality updated taking into account the May decrees for the executive bodies of state power at the regional and municipal levels. The updated system allows organizing the work of regional design offices and project teams in accordance with the methodological recommendations of the Federal Design Office for organizing project activities.

Update PM Forsyth
On November 22, 2016, Project Practice announced the modernization of the Forsyth PM target and performance management module. This will help build a hierarchy of goals and indicators, link them with projects and portfolios, plan goals and record their condition.
The user is able to set planned, forecast and actual values by target indicators with the required frequency - by months, quarters, half-year and years. The module can adjust the degree of influence of each indicator on the achievement of the goal, establish the relationship of goals, link goals to projects and programs. Through the revised report, it became easier to monitor progress and assess the achievement of indicators, track the coverage of projects with goals and vice versa.
The improvements were carried out at the request of users - representatives of the public sector, for whom the monogenized module will become a convenient tool for managing the goals and objectives of the region in terms of project activities.

Advanced functionality for working with change requests - now the user has an expanded opportunity to configure a change request, more flexible and faster making changes to approved project parameters after it starts. Now you can configure any workflow for the approval procedure, just a couple of mouse clicks allows you to make group requests for changes, according to routine changes, functional administrators have the opportunity to make adjustments in coordination with the responsible person who is not accessing the System.
Another big refinement of this release is custom and editable registry views. Registers are one of the key types of elements of our solution used when working with projects, programs, project portfolios, assignments, change requests and many other entities of the System. The convenience of working with registers largely determines the convenience of working with the System as a whole. Now registry views have become as flexibly configurable as lists in Excel, it has become possible to make mass changes to several registry objects at once.
The export and import functionality was developed. The improved import function will allow you to easily and flexibly transfer tasks and milestones from Project Server, Spider, or local files to the Forsyth PM. And thanks to the export, the user can upload the schedule directly from the project card to the pre-configured MS Project template at the click of a button. At the same time, the unloaded plan will fully correspond to the plan in the System.
The Forsyth PM solution provides a large set of functionalities that are available for use by setting without programming, which significantly reduces the implementation time and at the same time meets most of the Customer's requirements. If earlier, in most cases, the implementation dates of six months - a year were considered normal, now - in 1-2 months, the Customer can already deploy a working prototype that covers most of the requirements. Due to the implementation of the development vector for a customizable solution, our System is becoming more competitive and attractive for the Customer. Moreover, this approach simplifies the possibility of developing the solution together with increasing the Customer's maturity level and reduces the degree of the Customer's dependence on the developer, which is also important.
The Forsyth cloud PM is an independent solution that forms the basis for a full set of functionality of the standard version. The cloud solution is safe to use and adaptable to the Customer's specific management processes. The solution is deployed on the basis of the Customer in the "private cloud" mode. At the same time, a lease of a cloud system according to the SaaS scheme is available, including technical support in 24x7 mode.
The security of the solution provides a logic in which all segments of the cloud are isolated thanks to many independent databases - even the data of two branches of the same organization may not overlap in the cloud system. Several proven hosting providers are offered to choose a client - from small and fairly inexpensive, to large, distributed data centers. The client can choose the appropriate hosting and meet his priority criteria - price, quality, safety, fault tolerance.
Solving management problems in the public sector
During the refinements, not only management modules were placed at the head of usability, which in the new version more fully reflect the industry specifics of the public sector. Attention was paid to monitoring tools important for state organizations.
In addition to procedures for managing deadlines, budgets, business logic of projects, changes, etc. in the industry solution, there are monitoring tools such as: reports, personalized dashboards, operational analytics on key registers. Taking into account the contractual specifics of government agencies, the functionality of the Contract Management module has been expanded and supplemented. The module supports the procedure for concluding contracts in accordance with federal laws and takes into account the features of project work in the form of public-private partnership. After the updates, the Financial Management module, important for any industry, has become tailored for the convenience of maintaining project budgets for the state Customer with aggregation into higher levels of management - portfolios and state programs. Also, a completely new module appeared in the system - "Management of competencies and motivation."
