Program configuring of servers is supplemented by other program-controlled components of modern IT infrastructure: the program configured networks and the program configured storage systems. The solution of TidalScale proposed to the Russian customers helps to optimize the capital investments in computing resources, to bring their mashtabirovaniye to linear dependence of cost from requirement, to reduce operating costs, to increase reliability of calculations, and as a result to protect investments of the customer and to reduce for it total cost of ownership a computing component of IT infrastructure.
In implementation of PPKS TidalScale the technology called by the developer the return virtualization (RV) is used. OV allows to construct a uniform computing resource in the form of one virtual machine of simple same physical servers (two-four-socket servers of Intel h64) which is distributed practically in real time on demand from applications.
Among themselves physical servers connect through standard communicators of Ethernet (10/100 Mbps) thanks to the program of a hypervisor installed on each of them (the developer calls it hyper kernel). The set of these hypervisors provides for guest OS (above — for databases and applications) a uniform pool of RAM, processor resources and means of input output.
Hyper kernel represents Unix-shaped OS and special software, the being know-how of TidalScale and implementing artificial intelligence which continuously in the on-line mode analyzes the nature of the loading proceeding from applications on the virtual server PPKS traces a status of all pool of computing resources and optimizes their distribution by applications, makes the decision on what it is more profitable to move in each case — these annexes to the virtual calculator or on the contrary.
PPKS TidalScale is scaled up to 128 nodes, 256 Intel processors and 64 Tb of RAM, the platform is certified under (guest) OS of family Red Hat Suse FreeBSD Oracle Linux.
