Effective planning and process management of transportation is a basis of complete management of a logistics chain and serves as guarantee of decrease in transportation costs. The information and technology systems which, along with process of the organization of transportations, integrate in an effective control system and monitoring other processes of a logistics chain act as a basis here. With respect thereto the PSI Logistics company developed a management system for PSItms transport (Transportation Management System) which represents planning software of transportation in terms of location of logistic objects.

The system consisting of basic modules is expected "transparent" planning, management and continuous control of multimodal transport chains, process optimization of communication and goods flows. PSItms offers all necessary tools for computer-aided planning of routes, optimal placement and dynamic management of logistic networks. On the example of the implemented projects it is possible to see that use of the PSItms system allows to lower transportation costs more than by 10%.

The common software based on SOJA technology can independently be used or to be PSI integrated into existing solutions, or such back office systems as SAP. Connection with ERP systems, PPS or WWS has the greatest advantage. The sphere of functionality of PSItms covers tools of the analysis of capacities, structures of shipment, support services, calculation of transportation costs, formation of deliveries, tools for optimization and planning of routes, the locations of logistic objects and networks. Using this system it is possible not only to plan important production processes and to manage them. Information can be grouped and implemented in an analysis system of performance and quality at the intercompany level.

PSItms locates the control panel functioning as the complete solution for the overview of location of logistic objects. It allows to implement completely an ability to manage and optimization in all transport chain and on all logistic objects. Thus, PSItms represents the base for a comprehensive system of management and planning at the information and technology level, and at the level of business processes and management.

Version 1.6 of a management system for PSItms transport includes new features, in particular, for the production industry taking into account processes of delivery of products and waste recycling. It provides increase in transparency, efficiency of use of resources and accountability. The complete view of production and logistics allows independent regulation and process automation taking into account all available transport resources without intervention of operators.
