2019: Panasonic LB-DH7 с ПО Raidix RASP
On September 3, 2019 the Raidix company reported that together with Panasonic Russia provided upgraded version of robotic library Panasonic LB-DH7 for accumulation and storage of large volumes of information. More volume optical disks and the next release of software of RAIDIX RASP will make storage of "cold" data still otkazoustoychivy more conveniently.
Robotic library Panasonic LB-DH7 on optical disks meets requirements of archive funds, museums, libraries, research organizations which are in search of systems for superreliable data storage within 100 years and more. It has advantages in comparison with widespread data storage on magnetic carriers (LTO) — not only in terms of long-term profitability, but also reliability. The optical disks collected in special cartridges are steady against mechanical damages, influence of moisture, sunlight and fluctuations of temperatures. Write process and data reading (in difference from LTO) happens without use of electromagnetic influence and mechanical contact with a surface of disks. In LB-DH7 cartridges of the last generation up to 3.6 TB, with the disks Archival Disc are used that much more the formatted capacity of carriers of the previous version of the solution.
The robotic technology of Panasonic does possible creation of library on modularity: the solution is easily scaled depending on tasks and volumes of storage.
According to a hardware solution architecture the release of the software of RAIDIX RASP (RAIDIX Archival Solution for Panasonic) which integrates methods of storage of "hot" and "cold" data in a whole was released. Software of RAIDIX RASP allows to synchronize libraries of archive storage and the existing IT infrastructure of customer organization and also provides a user-friendly interface of management of all system in general.
Our cooperation with the Russian developer "Raidix" who creates and supports software solutions for DWH of Panasonic actively and successfully develops since 2016. Availability of the domestic software as a part of solutions of Panasonic is dictated by repeated requests of our Russian customers. We aim to improve constantly functionality of software together with our partner to conform to relevant market demands, noted Karpov Evgeny, the Head of Department of solutions for security systems and data storage of Panasonic company Russia

2015: Panasonic LB-DH8
Panasonic LB-DH8 is scalable robotic library on optical disks.
For February, 2015 the library represents the storage device consisting of modules of three types: lower, basic and expanded.
Module of LB-DH8, 2015 library
For information storage replaceable cartridges on optical disks of Blu-Ray are used. The basic module contains up to 76 cartridges on 1.2 TB - totally is stored in the module up to 91.2 TB information. The library may contain up to seven modules in a 19-inch rack on which it can be written up to 638.4 TB.

Advantage of a system is the RAID technology providing high-speed transmission (up to 216 Mbps) and integrity of data. Use of robotic library helps DPCs to reduce the total costs. Service life of optical disks reaches 50 years therefore need of periodic data transfer on new carriers disappears. The library can work with the broad range of temperatures and humidity (10 °C - 40 °C, 20 - 80% of a relative humidity) that allows to cut down expenses on conditioning considerably.
Main advantages
- meets the needs of long storage of constantly growing information volumes for the centers of processing and data storage;
- allows to reduce initial investments due to flexible scaling of a configuration;
- significantly reduces costs for energy consumption and operation: power consumption in standby mode is only 7 W. In most cases the library does not need additional conditioning and is capable to work at the normal room temperature;
- cartridges with data can be taken from library and to transfer to the external protected storage (for example, to the safe) that provides the continuity of business processes including in emergencies.
It is supposed that to Russia the robotic library will begin to be delivered in 2015.
