2020: Confirmation of the inhibiting effect

On December 16, 2020 the Panasonic company announced that in cooperation with the international research company Texcell the overwhelming effect of nanoe X technology based on hydroxylic radicals concerning a coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) was confirmed.

According to the company, nanoe X is the ionizer for generation of "nanodimensional atomized water particles" developed by Panasonic corporation. The technology of electrostatic atomization allows to collect invisible moisture from air and under the influence of tension to make "hydroxylic radicals in a water cover". Presence of hydroxylic radicals in nanoe X is crucial. They are characterized by oxidizing and reaction capacity.

Panasonic conducted researches of this technology since 1997 and confirmed its efficiency in different areas, including suppression of pathogenic microorganisms (bacteria, fungi and viruses) and allergens, destruction of solid particles of PM 2.5 making an adverse effect on a human body.

In 2012 the Panasonic company jointly with a third party carried out the test for removal of viruses and confirmed efficiency of each of four categories in terms of biological characteristics. Based on this result, Panasonic announced that from technology of "hydroxylic radicals in a water cover", it is possible to expect overwhelming effect and on the existing viruses.

Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) of a present pandemic - confirmed one of such types of viruses, and testing with Texcell that nanoe X really has the inhibiting effect on it. This testing was held in the closed laboratory environment and did not mean assessment of its efficiency in uncontrollable premises.

Panasonic will continue studying of potential of nanoe X technology for fight against the possible risks connected with air pollution, including, pathogenic microorganisms.
