Introduction to a system
The software of the integrated security system of ParsecNET 3 cardinally differs from all previous versions including from ParsecNET 2.5, in terms of the internal device and functionality. Therefore to the users working with the previous versions it is strongly recommended to read this text for understanding of the available differences. To whom acquaintance to a system is only necessary to those, it is also necessary to show consideration for this text.
The Software (S) ensures functioning under the next versions of Windows: Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 2003 Server, Windows Vista, Windows 7 (all 32-bit versions).
The platform for integration
The software package ParsecNET 3 (ParsecNET 3 PC) is constructed as the platform for integration into any equipment and the software. In terms of the internal structure, data view and methods of their processing of ParsecNET 3 it is completely indifferent to type of the equipment with which it is necessary to work. In the presence of the proper ParsecNET 3 drivers can manage not only components of a security system, but also for example, conditioners.
The set of the ParsecNET 3 PC drivers supports a complete line of the equipment of the ParsecNET 2.5 system and also the video subsystem with which the previous versions of software were integrated. Further the nomenclature of the connected equipment will gradually extend according to needs of users of a system.
Server, workstation and console
If in the previous versions of ParsecNET there were a server and workstations (computers to which the equipment could be connected, or without the equipment), then in the ParsecNET 3 system there are three types of computers - it is:
- system server which is responsible for all data and exchange with other computers. At the same time the DBMS server can be posted online on the separate PC.
- workstation – The PC to which the equipment is connected, but is absent the user interface.
- console – PCs on which the user interface is installed, but are not present the connected equipment.
The specified functional units can be both are distributed between different PCs, and combined in any combinations. In particular, in the simplest system functionality all three component can work on the only PC which is the server, the workstation and the console at the same time.
The software of the workstation (i.e. that part which is responsible for communications between computers and the equipment) works in the mode of Windows service that provides its start to an input in Windows and does not depend on the rights of the current user of Windows.
It is natural that installation of a system requires the privileged user with the rights of the administrator of Windows.
Separately it is necessary to mention the miniconsole which is also user application which, being "folded" in a system panel, serves for on line of notifications on the selected events, for example, arrival of the specific employee for work (information which is in advance entered by the operator is displayed).
User interface
The previous version of ParsecNET for more than ten-year history of development saved up some variety regarding a type and behavior of windows of different applications.
The user interface of the third version is completely unified, i.e. all editors and tools have identical appearance, ergonomics and behavior. It simplifies use of a system what tool you would not use.
Separately it should be noted that now the user interface is flexibly configured under qualification and the rights of the specific user, at the same time settings for any user are saved in a DB and recovered on any computer at user login.
Database of a system
The database of a system is supported DBMS MS SQL by Server-2005. The DBMS server can be as by the machine on which the ParsecNET 3 server, and works on any other machine in network. The main condition is an availability of the DBMS server from server side of ParsecNET 3.
Local databases of workstations and consoles are serviced by "easier" and fast SQLITE DBMS which is not requiring the PCs considerable resources and the separate procedure of its installation – it is established automatically as a part of ParsecNET 3 workstations.
Local bases provide functioning of separate parts of a system even in the absence of contact with the server and the central database that considerably increases survivability and functionality of the new version. For example, the remote office disconnected from main system will continue the functioning, information will be accumulated in a local DB, and at recovery of communication will be automatically transferred to the ParsecNET server. Besides, after recovery of contact with the server all communications of change which collected during absence, including changes of a DB of personnel, settings of the equipment and so on will be automatically copied from it.
Multi-user system
Unlike the previous versions, ParsecNET 3 is really multi-user system. It allows to service territorially integrated, but administratively separated objects in such a way that it is represented to each user as if he is the only user – the part of a system which is not belonging to it is completely isolated and invisible to this user.
It is well explained by an example of large business center in which rent the areas a set of the companies. Each company a part of a system (subsystem) servicing its territory is selected (the floor, group of rooms or even one room). In the terms ParsecNET 3 such unit hereinafter is referred to as the organization. The equipment servicing it, own operators with the different rights, internal personnel which are visible only within this organization is appropriated to the organization. All specified entities are essentially unavailable to other organizations.
Shares
If to continue analogy to business center, then there is a problem of shares, for example, of tourniquets on a checkpoint at an input in business center. This problem is solved because in a system resources (controllers, tourniquets, the fields of protection) can be appointed more than one organization. Thus, a checkpoint of business center, being a typical shared resource, gets to the area of visibility of all organizations which are in the territory of business center. At the same time the personnel of each organization are its "property", i.e. are not visible to other organizations.
Multiterritorial system
The ParsecNET 3 system is the network distributed system allowing to service any number of territories between which there are communication channels (Ethernet network). Unlike the previous versions in which at loss of contact with the server functioning of workstations completely stopped in ParsecNET 3 work of the workstation at loss of contact with the server is continued, though in a little limited scope. It is impossible to perform operations which are connected with access to the system database server, i.e. to edit personnel or other objects of a system. Monitoring of the equipment, collecting and the analysis of the current events remains in full.
It allows to use a system on territorially spaced objects between which communication can be not a constant. When resuming contact with the server all information which is saved up for battery life is transferred to the server, and functioning of the remote territory is recovered in full.
One more restriction of a standalone mode is the impossibility of login of the operator as data for his authorization are stored on the system server.
Object hierarchy and entities
All entities in ParsecNET 3 will be organized in the form of hierarchies with an unlimited number of the nesting levels, at the same time visibility of objects for the specific operator can be set from any nesting level.
Let's return for example with business center. Let's assume that it is required to provide visibility of all personnel of all organizations to the operator on a checkpoint that contradicts the principle of differentiation of visibility between the organizations.
In this case it is possible to create the Business-center organization which will include all personnel, and in this case the bureau of admissions of business center, and operators of the relevant organizations tenants can be responsible for its entering into the database of a system as soon as.
Fitters and operators
For ensuring structure with many organizations in a system different roles for fitters and operators with accurate differentiation of their roles in a system are entered. For service of the physical equipment of a system, its configuring, adding or removal in a system there is a concept of the fitter, i.e. operator with special privileges on the equipment. The fitter "sees" all physical topology of a system and has to it full access. The installer distributes physical resources (pass points, security areas and other) between the organizations. In normal terms an installer is the one who performs configuring of a system at a stage of its start, and further - service staff (for example, technical service of business center). At the same time the installer essentially has no access to private data of the organizations which treat personnel of the organizations, operators of the organizations and their archives of events (for example, data on passes).
In turn, operators of the organizations have no access to the physical equipment of a system for which the fitter is responsible, i.e. cannot add or delete the equipment and also change its settings.
For the small objects representing one organization, all rights (both the fitter, and the operator) one person can physically execute, but at the same time login for accomplishment of these or those functions needs all the same to be done under different logins.
A system on work with admissions of "Blockhost-ASZP" is integrated with a security system of ParsecNET 3
The companies "Relvest" and "Gazinformservice" announced in April, 2011 a successful completion of the joint project on integration of a security system of ParsecNET 3 based on ACS and an automated system on work with admissions "Blockhost-ASZP". Now potential users ParsecNET of ISB 3 had an opportunity to use the additional Blockhost-ASZP application as an alternative already existing in the Bureau of Admissions system, says Gazinformservice. The automated system of the order of admissions allows to minimize time expenditure on execution of admissions and issue of personal access cards for visitors, to increase efficiency of control of access control and also to provide personal data protection of visitors.
Development of functionality of the new integrated security system of ParsecNET 3 is one of key tasks facing Relvest company. With respect thereto full-time work on expansion of integration services of a system is conducted. Thanks to open integration service and the policy of the company directed to expansion and addition of a system with relevant and popular clients with applications, ParsecNET 3 continuously increases additional functionality which does it access control systems, more flexible and competitive in the market, noted in Gazinformservice.
Important element of any control system of access is the bureau of admissions and also the procedure of an execution of the admission, including for the ACS systems. The automated system of "Blockhost-ASZP" allows to perform: the order of admissions of different types for different objects, electronic approval and vising of admissions by responsible persons, execution of admissions of different types on the set templates. Including, this service allows to keep "black lists" of visitors, archive of visits for each visitor or the vehicle, to create different reports and also to exercise control and access isolation of users depending on their privilege level to functions of a system and that especially relevant presently, to provide personal data protection of visitors according to requirements of federal law N 152-FZ "About personal data".
According to Gazinformservice, the tested interactions of the ParsecNET 3 and "Blockhost-ASZP" systems confirmed correctness and stability of functioning of the integration solution.
