2021: Announcement of a mobile X-ray apparatus for images during surgical operations
In mid-November 2021, Fujifilm Healthcare announced the release of the Persona CS mobile X-ray system, designed for quick and unhindered positioning in the operating environment. The system serves to provide improved real-time image guidance for a wide range of operations, including: orthopedic, surgical, anesthesiological and various emergency procedures.
The 5 kW Persona CS on-board generator provides more than double the power compared to existing compact C-arcs, improving image quality and X-ray scanning for patients of any height and physique. The large diameter and lightweight design allow surgeons and staff to easily bring the system directly to the operating table and move around the patient. The presence of 30 cm or 21 cm flat panel detectors based on caesium iodide allows to obtain images with higher quality.
The growth of traumatic injuries, orthopedic problems, cancers and other diseases requires complex surgery. Fortunately, modern C-arc radioscopic machines are able to adapt to the needs of various types of operations. With the release of Persona CS, we are pleased to offer customers two powerful solutions that are suitable not only for large hospitals, but also for outpatient surgery centers and treatment clinics, said Fujifilm product manager Susan Crennan. |
Persona CS is a versatile system that helps optimize space in crowded operating systems. The advanced imaging console provides high-resolution, real-time X-rays. Fujifilm Healthcare Americas released its first mobile C-arc Persona C in November 2020.
As noted by Hidetoshi Izawa, Vice President of Model Solutions and Clinical Affairs, the company continues to expand its portfolio of medical imaging solutions, seeking to provide hospitals and health centers with the technology they need to positively impact patient care. He clarified that Fujifilm Healthcare Americas offers a wide range of diagnostic imaging systems to healthcare providers, both in the United States and around the world.[1]
