The automated billing system of Petter Service company is tested on a hardware platform of Huawei
Stress testing was held in the Research and development center of Huawei in Shenzhen from December 08, 2013 to January 24, 2014. According to the results of tests of the offered hardware platform at the simulated loading in 36 million subscribers a system showed complete working capacity and outstanding performance.
For testing the Huawei RH5885 V2 servers and storage systems of Huawei OceanStore S6800T were provided. Besides, based on the Huawei RH5885 V2 servers work of components of a system under control of virtual environment of VMware VSphere was successfully tested.
For the first time were completely tested on x86 platform with the greatest possible use of the Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating system, Red Hat company. In particular, as the DB server the cluster from three nodes under control of RHEL 6 and ORACLE RDBMS 11.2.0.3 with the option Real Application Cluster was also used. In the long term the similar hardware configuration will allow telecom operators to reduce considerably, both costs for creation, and operating costs.
The head of group of stress testing of Petter Service company Alexey Mishulovin noted: "On characteristics of performance the equipment of Huawei shows very high level. At the stated simulated base in 36 million subscribers on the vast majority of transactions loading of the central database server did not exceed 68% for one node of a cluster".

"Petter Service" tested billing with loading in 100 million subscribers
The Automated Billing System (ABS) of PETER-SERVICE BISrt was tested under the loading equivalent to subscriber capacity in more than 100 million users. Tests were held on HP servers in the European Center Testings of vendor in the German Boeblingen.
According to the results of testing ASR showed complete working capacity on all key performance indicators, at the same time the simulated subscriber base and loading by 1.5 times exceeded the maximum volumes stated in the certificate of a system. Specialists of "Petter Service" also noted that many results considerably exceeded the stated requirements, and the configuration of the equipment offered to testing can be recommended as industrial. On the vast majority of transactions loading of CPU of the central database server did not exceed 40% that testifies to the considerable potential of the tested hardware-software complex.
For the first time as the database server HP Integrity Superdome X, absolutely new product of the company which was provided on December 2, 2014 was used. Along with high scalability and performance, this server has unprecedented for the world h86 the properties of reliability and fault tolerance borrowed from a lineup of HP of Integrity Superdome 2 that does it by the ideal platform for the resource-intensive and critical applications of the corporate level to failures working in industrially standard environments of Linux. Is essential as well that circumstance that at such subscriber volume passed stress testing with operation practically of all ASR components in virtual environment of VMware VSphere (based on HP servers of ProLiant DL980 G7 and ProLiant DL580 Gen8).
