On November 28, 2018 the Philips Healthcare company provided the new system of digital roentgenography at which the block of a x-ray tube fastens on a ceiling. Innovation under the name Philips Digital Diagnost C90 includes a set of tools which reduce the need for repeated procedures that saves time and optimizes workflow.
The touch screen Eleva Tube Head will allow the radiologist to locate correctly the patient before the research, and then to control its movements thanks to the fact that the workplace of the laboratory assistant, the monitor and (optionally) the camera is built in the block of a x-ray tube. Besides, a system allows to select right settings for each type of a research that more time for communication with the patient leaves to the doctor, the producer notes.
The software of Eleva of the workstation of the laboratory assistant is used in many systems of digital roentgenography of Philips thanks to what specialists should not be retrained for mastering the new equipment.
Additional components include two stationary detectors and one wireless and also software for processing of the personnel of Philips UNIQUE 2 which provides the better contrast image and allows to configure the device under needs of the user. The Philips Bone Suppression tool deletes bone structures from images of a thorax for free assessment of soft fabrics and by that increases detectability of educations by 16.8%. Besides, new features facilitate work on training of students and new employees. The camera helps to avoid further explanations, allowing to watch a control panel and facilitating demonstration of the centering points and positioning.
A system is intended mainly for large organizations, but can be used also in health facilities with less dense flow of patients. Philips Digital Diagnost C90 will come to the world market in 2019.[1]
