At the beginning of June, 2018 the Pix4D company announced official start of the solution Pix4DFields. The application is developed especially for landowners for the purpose of simplification of processing of the data obtained when shooting with the UAV.
Main features
- Minimum necessary functionality and intuitive interface;
- Processing is simple and aimed at obtaining the output data;
- The most widespread multispectral cameras for the UAV are supported;
- Mobility of use: high speed of creation of the orthophotomap allows to use the application for validation of the received results of shooting directly in the field.
Features
Work begins with loading of pictures, after that creation of a mosaic begins automatically. Borders of fields can be optionally added: are loaded from an external source or are drawn directly in a program window on the card or a ready mosaic.
Pix4DFields allows to perform calculation of spectral indexes which choice is rather broad: NDVI, NDRE, SIPI2, LCI, TGI, VARI, BNDVI, GNDVI. A set of available indexes is selected automatically proceeding from available spectral channels of the camera. In the interface of the program it is possible not only to browse, but also to compare calculation results of indexes.
Also in the application there is a function of creation of geozones popular for solving of tasks of exact agriculture. It is enough to select the initial index, detail and desirable quantity of zones. For each zone the instruction, for example, on application of fertilizers can be entered in kg/hectare.
Results (mosaic, indexes, geozones) can be unloaded in standard formats for viewing and work with them in GIS.
In the whole Pix4Dfields — the product necessary as for those who only begin use of shooting with the UAV in agriculture, and for experienced users. The first it will help to start easily in this sphere — will provide the second the tool for fast obtaining qualitative results of shootings and their involvement in workflow.
