Content

The integrated monitoring system and automation of technology processes on industrial enterprises and infrastructure facilities which is intended to increase performance and to reduce costs for power supply and production process.

Relying on the purposes on increase in power consumption of economy of the Russian Federation for 40 percent by 2020 and the tasks proclaimed in the law "About Energy Saving and about Increase in Power Efficiency of the Russian Federation", the Schneider Electric company is going to develop essentially new approach to energy efficiency - EcoStruxure allowing to lower energy consumption at the enterprises more than by 30 percent. PlantStruxure is one of compound blocks of approach EcoStruxure and is focused on a segment of industrial enterprises and infrastructure facilities.

Thanks to it a new system will allow the companies, specializing in area of production and oil refining and gas, chemistry and petrochemistry, metallurgy, the food industry, etc., effectively to reduce construction costs, production and technical support, to increase performance, product quality and safety of production and also to increase an investment payback.

2016

PlantStruxure PES V4.2

On August 12, 2016 the Schneider Electric company submitted the version of a management system of PlantStruxure PES V4.2.

In it the equipment with the expanded Modicon M580 ePAC functions is integrated. With adding of reserve Modicon M580 controllers, the solution aimed at applications of industrial Internet of Things (Industrial Internet of Things, IIoT).

At PlantStruxure PES deployment, regarding projects, in a management system at least one pair of reserve controllers is required. By means of M580 ePAC controllers and a possibility of blocking of ports in an environment with a uniform configuration, PES V4.2 meets to a number of modern requirements and ensures almost for 100% smooth operation of the systems of the customer.

With convergence of information and operational technologies there is a need for the solutions providing essentially new level of cyber security and communication opportunities on production. PlantStruxure PES expands possibilities of operators of manufacturing enterprises, engineers and managers in use of data on management of energy and processes that allows them to increase service quality and operation, to increase performance of assets and to use additional resources for increase in operational efficiency, and all this is in safer environment. Feature of programmable Modicon M580 ePAC controllers - architecture on the basis of Ethernet. Integration into the solution PES increases quality of management of technology processes and provides to customers other level of standard communications providing compliance to perspective requirements. For engineering and commissioning services which will simplify navigation in a management system will become available, will increase performance at making changes in the project.

The management system of PlantStruxure PES V4.2 is delivered with libraries of applications, ready to use, and libraries of different segments of the industry that allows to create systems quicker and with smaller costs for development. Due to integration with control functions by energy of other devices of automation and management from Schneider Electric, such as Altivar drives, a system will help users to achieve bigger economy of energy and cost reduction.

The management system of PlantStruxure PES V4.2 performs crucial functions of the released Schneider Electric of Modicon M580 ePAC controllers. It allows to expand a portfolio of the solutions of the company in the field of automation intended for such industries as water supply, water disposal, water treatment, the mining, chemical, oil, food industry, power.

PlantStruxure PES v.4.1

In April, 2016 Schneider Electric submitted version 4.1 of the PlantStruxure PES system which optimizes not only production processes, but also energy consumption. This management system provides an information access in real time, increasing performance and reliability of technology processes.

PlantStruxure PES v.4.1 is a basis for operational acceptance of optimal solutions at management of production processes and the important instrument of power management therefore its implementation significantly increases effective management of production.

Design

PlantStruxure includes a set of standards for creation of management systems using any lines of the equipment Schneider Electric. In version 4.1 configuration functions and managements for the Modicon M580 controller which is completely constructed based on Ethernet and being the first-ever ePAC the controller are integrated. The possibility of creation of architecture based on M580 allows to create the ready-made solutions on management of technology processes and energy consumption differing in the high performance and efficiency of capital investments. In architecture of generation of PES advanced technologies of navigation thanks to which it is possible to reduce design time by 30% are implemented.

Operation

PlantStruxure PES v.4.1 offers opportunities to dense integration of different objects. Being an object-oriented system, PES automatically appropriates to each control object of the link to all possible adjacent elements: managing equipment, objects of visualization, trends, control algorithms of the controller, technical documentation. It allows operators of production to obtain in read seconds the complete information about a technology operation mode of an object and all possible reasons of failures of technology process. There is no need to use different software applications for viewing windows of visualization, the current values of process parameters, settings of operation algorithms of controllers, documentation - thanks to effective instruments of navigation using one click can obtain all necessary information in a convenient type.

PlantStruxure PES v.4.1 includes experience of Schneider Electric company in the different fields of the industry in the form of segment libraries. Libraries are grouped in industries and offer a wide choice of technology equipment with already "preconfigured" sets of parameters: control algorithms, signals of alarms, communications with adjacent elements, etc. to the Specialist it is necessary only to select a necessary template from library and, if necessary, to modify it.

PlantStruxure PES v.4.1 works according to open standards, technologies of seamless data transmission between PCS and an enterprise management system are its cornerstone. Availability of the integrated interfaces for ERP also MES provide ease of an information access for financial services and company management.

2014: PlantStruxure PES v.3.1

On July 8, 2014 the Schneider Electric company provided a management system of PlantStruxure PES v.3.1.

The PlantStruxure PES v.3.1 system is a basis for operational acceptance of optimal management decisions and the important instrument of power management optimizing production processes, energy consumption, provides easy access to information in real time increasing performance and reliability of technology processes.

As a part of PlantStruxure a set of standards of functional compatibility EcoStruxure and a complex of the software StruxureWare allowing to create ready-made solutions on management of technology processes and energy consumption. In architecture of generation of PES advanced methods of standardization thanks to which it is possible to reduce design time by 25% are implemented.

PlantStruxure PES v.3.1 includes "smart" libraries and effective navigation, gives the chance to store different data types in uniform base. All this provides to heads and engineers access to the necessary, renewed in real time information.

Feature of PlantStruxure PES - use of the concept of cross-links using which those communications between technology objects and their characteristics which only experienced operators, as a rule, can set independently are reproduced. Existence of such intellectual component allows even to young specialists to work and make the right decisions effectively.
